KRYSTIAN LESIAK

My interest in photography began long before I knew how to turn it into a career. What started as a personal passion in Kilkenny, lead to a year of Media Studies and eventually to Dublin, where I earned my Bachelor Honours Degree in Photography from IADT. 

Since first beginning my work as a freelance photographer in 2017, I have spent years refining my craft through technical study and international experience, including a summer spent teaching film production in New York. Following my graduation, I chose to spend time as a store manager to develop the professional work ethic and leadership skills I use today. This experience taught me the importance of arriving prepared with a clear plan and the organisational discipline required to manage high-pressure environments. 

After nearly a decade of experience and two degrees, I established Southside Headshots as a full-time specialist business. While I am based in Dun Laoghaire and focus on the professional community across the Southside and city centre, I provide high-end headshots and event coverage to clients throughout the Greater Dublin Area. 

I believe that attention to detail and a well-structured workflow are essential to delivering consistent, high-quality results. I value authenticity over heavy retouching, ensuring that every image I deliver is a true reflection of the person in front of the lens. 

When I am not behind the camera or working on personal projects, I am usually at the gym, on the tennis court, or enjoying the South Dublin coastline with a cup of coffee.
